In this module participants will explore the connection between industry and the course content. The content will take a deep look in how instructors and institutions can ensure students exit an educational program with the skills needed to succeed in the workforce. This is a self-paced course where you will review 15 pages describing the problems with connecting curriculum to industry, and how to effectively learn techniques to help meet the challenges. The course starts by describing the industry-curriculum problem, and why these problems may exist. Next, the course goes through DACUM, its advantages and disadvantages, and how curriculum can be improved to help meet the challenges of not meeting industry requirements. The course contains videos, articles and activities to assist in your understanding of the topic. The outcomes from this course are that you should recognize what the challenges there are going from industry to curriculum, the relevance it has to your courses, and methods that can assist in improving the situation.
