Description

This course is also suitable for employees who have recently started a career in the calibration domain and interested in implementing 1D simulation tool on Hardware-in-Loop (Hil) system to reduce physical testing efforts. Topics such as emission norms, predictive combustion calibration,  CI vs SI combustion calibration challenges, virtual calibration, case study on heavy duty application etc. are covered to have better understanding about the calibration concept. Calibration is so vast and therefore requires knowledge of IC engine basics, optimization, emission correlations, engine and aftertreatment technology limitations, customer requirements etc. An honest effort is put to address all above issues while maintaining the balance between time, students' level of understanding to retain interest in the course.  Required technical references are provided wherever necessary if someone is interested in going into the depth of the subject.
