This course will provide you with a comprehensive introduction to spreadsheets; it is designed for first-time users with very little or no exposure to the subject.
Description
This course is a comprehensive introduction to spreadsheets. The course uses Microsoft Excel. If you do not have Microsoft Excel, you may still take this course. You can download a 30-day trial of Microsoft Office here. You may also use other free spreadsheet software. For example, Google Sheets is available to anyone with a Google account. Last, remember that most colleges, universities, and some public libraries offer public computer stations with at least one spreadsheets program ready for you to use. The course will explore the following fundamental topics: an introduction to spreadsheets, terminology in Excel, components of a spreadsheet, what a cell consists of, and the creation of a spreadsheet for practical use.
