Description

Students will solve systems of linear equations and inequalities in two variables using a variety of methods. Module includes: Pre-Assessment, Introduction: Systems of Linear Equations and Inequalities in Two Variables, Section1: Solving Systems of Linear Equations, Section 2: Solving Systems of Linear Equations by Substitution Method, Section 3: Solving Systems of Linear Equations by Elimination Method, Section 4: Graphing Systems of Linear Inequalities, Post-Assessment. This course starts with solving systems of linear equations such as the intersection of two lines. This course then goes into solving systems of linear equations by using the substitution method, using direct substitution and solving for one variable to use in a substitution. Next, the course covers how to use the elimination method to solve systems of linear equations. Finally, the course shows how to graph systems of linear inequalities. The course includes tests and interactive media to keep engagement as well as pre- and post-assessments.
