Vehicles with IC engines have become a staple for everyday life. There are more vehicles on the roads than ever before. As common as these vehicles are, they have one primary downside - Harmful emissions. According to the EPA or the Environment Protection Agency, the global transportation industry contributes almost 14% of the greenhouse emissions. Due to this, a huge amount of research is being done on refining IC Engines in making them more fuel-efficient. But, IC Engines have reached a certain stagnation point where any more research or development isn't possible. In fact, Daimler, the parent company of Mercedes Benz has claimed that it has stopped any further development of IC Engines. The company wants to focus on developing electric vehicles. But, electric vehicles are not without their own demerits. With these in mind, the Hybrid electric vehicles were developed. The Hybrid Vehicles are a culmination of the best of both worlds. These vehicles have an IC engine drivetrain and an Electric drivetrain.
