Description

The course contains 3 modules that the student has to go through.  The first module covers the basic introduction to BIW Fixtures. The student will learn about: What exactly the BIW is and how exactly jigs and fixtures are used in the process of creation.  BIW Nomenclature Types of Fixtures and their applications The second module covers the basics of BIW fixture design. The student will learn about: Different Welding Processes 3-2-1 Principle Body Planes The third module covers the entire Pre-Design process. In this module, the student will learn about: Design Methodologies Structuring a Design tree Different type of Fixture Units All the modules will be accompanied with challenges for testing the knowledge outcome of the student. By the end of the course, the student will have a firm grip on the fundamentals of fixture design for automobile BIW components and general design practises used in the industry
